From Rothschild House (Markyate) Surgery:
As most of our patients are now aware the central Covid Vaccination centre has been set up in Maxted Road, Hemel Hempstead. This hub has been set up by all the GPs in Dacorum and will be the closest vaccination centre for our patients. You will receive a message from your GP surgery inviting you to make an appointment for your jab when it is your turn. If you do not have a mobile phone, you will get a call on your landline instead. We are all running a text/call service using a system called AccuBook.
NHS England is setting up a national central NHS booking system for its larger mass vaccination sites, including one in Stevenage. So some local residents might receive both a text/call from their local GP and a letter from the NHS about the site in Stevenage, which can be confusing. You will have a choice, you can choose to go to Stevenage, or you can wait for the call from your GP Surgery and go to Hemel Hempstead.
Primary care has been entrusted to vaccinate all patients aged 50 and over and we will be doing so by strict order of priority as advised by the JCVI. We are currently contacting patients in order of eligibility and we ask you NOT to contact the practice in the interim about the covid vaccine so that patients seeking medical help or appointments are able to get through.
Please check that we have your correct contact details (mobile numbers or land line) and if you need to update them visit the website below or phone the Surgery. https://www.rothschildhousesurgery.co.uk/…/change-of…/
The Rothschild House (Markyate) surgery GPs continue to work as normal.
